My co workers & I are hooked!! A jar doesn't last long in the office. Wish I could purchase locally. The negative is s&h is high, however they do ship fast.

I have ordered the sans souci nuts many times in the past, and this last shipment did not seem to have the same seasonings as the previous ones I love. Something seemed to be missing. They tasted more like the sea salt and black pepper. I wonder if the recipe changed? These are my favorite nuts, but this last shipment was a bit disappointing.Sorry.

This is the first Bertie product I have been disappointed with. When the word "Smoky" leads the title, you expect a nice, rich, smoky taste. These fail to deliver that. The hint of smoked food is rather underwhelming at best.

After enjoying the Smoky Sans Souci peanuts for several years, we are disappointed in 2016. They taste almost like unsalted peanuts! What happened to the great seasoning? Our friends who receive them as holiday gifts will also be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first jar of Bertie County Fried Peanuts - Smoky Sans Souci flavor. Tried 3 varieties & this was the hands-down favorite. DEE-lish-iss! Noticeably fresher & crispier than canned nuts, without being at all greasy. If you like a little heat but nothing overpowering, this is the flavor for you. VERY tasty indeed. Will definitely order again - yum.

A variety of Bertie County peanuts were provided as table snacks for a long, three day meeting. The smoky Sans Souci peanuts were the favorite among about half the crowd. They commented that the slightly smoky/ spicy/savory combination was addictive. All of the Sans Souci nuts were gone by the end of the meeting.

My first taste of your peanuts came about last year after a friend visited and bought me bachelor bay flavor and I enjoyed it .I notice that the ones I ordered were not as big but still delicious so I decided to try two other flavors and I enjoyed them as well

They taste very good. I got the 30 oz. jar since those 9 and 10 jars seemed to small and cost more besides. They are pricey but taste wonderful.

After sampling the Bertie products in a shop in a mall in Raleigh, I have either bought them on line or when in Goldsboro area, buying them in shops. My only mistake is not buying enough when they are on sale to me. If you think you would like them, don't buy one jar, buy at least two. I have learned to buy the Blister Fried by the case of 30 oz jars. I now find I need to that with Sea Salt and Pepper and the San Souci!

Just finished my first jar of these and they're great! I wasn't impressed at first, but then I realized a lot of the seasoning had settled to the bottom of the jar during shipping. Gently rolled the peanuts around a few times and flavor increased tenfold! High quality peanuts with great taste. The seasoning is a little spicy with a neat smoky flavor. If the Weeping Mary's are too spicy for you, give these a try!!

Outstanding flavor, my favorite after the original blister-fried, salted peanuts. Just the right amount of salt, a touch of heat, and delicious smokiness. Goes great with whatever bitter brew you're drinking, too.

Just reading a flavors "title" or description sometimes, or a lot of times, doesn't really tell you exactly WHAT you're going to be tasting when you buy something online having never sampled it before, but I must say this one definitely surprised me in a GOOD way! It's got a light to medium black pepper "bite" and a hint of smoke. It's quite good! I could definitely see going for this more often and will probably buy more in the future. Fantastic!

Whoever came up with this flavor deserves a big raise. I love regular peanuts and some flavored peanuts, and this really hits the spot in the latter category. It's hard to pin down, but a subtle smoky and mild spice come through. It marries perfectly with the peanut taste, without overpowering the nut as some other nut companies do. It also doesn't leave a residue on the fingertips but I find myself licking my fingertips anyway. I'll definitely order more. Try them and you'll love them, I believe.
