The northeast can bring some very bad conditions for the critters; your peanuts have kept these guys/girls pretty chubby both in the late fall and through the winter. They have told me they like your peanuts; well it seems as they have communicated this as they wait for a hand-out every day.

We bought 30 # of the extra large peanuts, and shared some with family members, but my husband loves peanut brittle and I make it very often in the winter.. but you must have a dry cold day to do this..I keep them in the freezer so that I always have peanuts for brittle or roasted salted peanuts... YUM!!!!

Discovered your website when googling for raw peanuts. My husband is from Georgia and grew up on "real" peanuts. Bertie's are the best. Big, fat and delicious. I order the raw peanuts in bulk and roast them in batches. The Blister Fried Peanuts are great too.

I started making peanut brittle 43 years ago for the older people I knew, to give them some of the things they remember from when they were younger. Now at age 73 I make it for the younger folks to let them know how it used to be. Twice now I have ordered peanuts from you and both times the nuts were the best I or any of the people we gave the brittle to had ever seen. Thanks for making my wife and I so proud.

Compared to Hampton Farms purchased locally not good. Hampton cost $49.75 for 25 pounds $1.99 Lb with less empty shells and overcooked brown peanuts. The size and taste the same. Blister cost $2.60 or $65.00 for 25 Lbs.

I have made peanutbutter from scratch for awhile. I recently decided to buy my peanuts in bulk and found Bertie Co Peanuts. I ordered 30 lbs of peanuts and they came right away. The price was excellent as was the quality. I froze the peanuts in quart bags to keep them fresh and will pull out a bag every month or so to make up a batch of peanutbutter. Yummy! The 25 lbs of raw unshelled peanuts I ordered were beautiful, uniform, with no, and I mean no, bad ones among them. The only thing is the taste is somewhat weak, and I attribute that to the time of the year I ordered them. After all, it's almost time for the new crop to come in, so the taste has to change some over the months. I give them a fiver.

I really can't tell you from personal experience how good these peanuts are because I don't eat them. I can say the bluejays seem to enjoy them immensely. They can wipe out a basketful in just a few hours. Right now they are bringing the young ones around and it's pretty amusing watching the kids try to open one. We bought a 25lb bag online and had it shipped to my dad in SC for Fathers Day. When he ran out, he called and asked if we could get him some more for his birthday! He is a LIFELONG peanut eater and he has classified these as the best he's ever had. We recently purchased the Peanut Parade for ourselves and every flavor we have tried as been amazing. During the year, I store the excess in my basement cellar, and the rest I bake in a 12x18 tray for 15 minutes at 325, and then scramble the peanuts and bake again at 325 for 15 minutes. About half of these go into making peanut butter and the other half get eaten one way or another. I have recently learned of a peanut butter cookie that is gluten free (one egg, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar (this can be brown or white, and adding 1 tablespoon of honey reduces the crumbling). Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. All is delicious!

This order arrived sooner than expected. Great! The problem was the grade and quality of the peanuts. There was every color and size imaginable, a lot of the peanuts appeared to shrunkened or dried too soon. I was disappointed but had no choice but to grade them for consistency to complete my personal holiday order. I ordered extra large. The previous order had damage to the container but the peanuts were great which is why i continue to order from Bertie

Peanuts arrived with some of the seams not fully secured on the box. No evidence of loss but a concern. Surprised that the peanuts were not secured in a wrapper-just loose. Although all peanuts looked really great in size and shape, I had to pick out scores of nuts that needed their skins removed.

I have been getting raw peanuts from Amazon but really wanted to go to the source. Berties nuts were priced comparable to Amazon, but the shipping was much faster. I feed these to the squirrels and jays. They come running when I step out with my bowl of nuts! I also loved they came in the box without extra packaging. BCP has been an exceptionally reliable source for peanuts for the past several years. Out here in the west we don't have the large selection of peanut products I would see on my frequent trips to the south. I tried something new with the huge raw shelled peanuts and put a small batch in my Instant Pot. I was not disappointed because they softened up like boiled peanuts and retained the unmistakable flavor. Also reduced calories by 1/3, and can be mixed with other foods like soup and stir fries, sauces. WOW!

I just submitted a review noting the reduced flavor of my peanut brittle this year and asked if the lack of skins on the product could be the cause. After submitting the review the website directed me to an order page, where I saw that you offer two products in the 30 pound bulk quantities (raw and raw/blanched). I must have mistakenly ordered the blanched product this year, which I would guess causes my peanut brittle to have less flavor. In years past I have ordered over the phone, but this year decided to do it online. Sorry about the user error (I will go back to phone ordering next year)--I do like your raw peanuts for making brittle.

Happy with the shipment. However, when unpacking there were quite a few of very small ants. Not sure where they came from, but just trust that when I transferred the peanuts from the shipping box into lidded jars that I did not transfer the ants as well. The first lot to be baked, resulted in a few ants on the kitchen counter, but none survived the oven. Waiting to see what the second baking batch will produce.
