• 2 cup sugar
  • 1 lb butter, less 1 in. square
  • 6 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  •  milk chocolate
  •  chopped roasted peanuts


Combine sugar, butter and water in heavy saucepan. using candy thermometer, cook to 300 degrees, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and continue stirring; add vanilla. Pour into large buttered pan. Shave milk chocolate on top of candy while still hot. Sprinkle peanuts over candy and press into melted chocolate. When cool, cut into squares.
