Cashie River Trail Mix
With the Roanoke, Chowan, and Cashie rivers running through Bertie County, we find that many of our local customers spend hours paddling those waterways on their kayaks or canoes. But, we've also found that many of those athletically inclined folks like to run or bike our roads and trails as well. So to meet their energy needs, as well as their desire for something sweet, we've put together a mix of dried fruits, M&M's, and our famous Blister Fried Peanuts.
Each bag may include the following: Blister Fried Peanuts, Yogurt Covered Raisins, Dark Chocolate M&M's, and Dried Cranberries.
Additionally, a portion of our proceeds from each sale goes to the Roanoke, Cashie River Center. The center operates under the auspices of the Partnership for the Sounds which "...promotes sustainable, community-driven economic well-being and stewardship in the Albemarle-Pamlico region through environmental education and nature-based and cultural tourism".
The Roanoke, Cashie Center interprets the natural and cultural history of the lower Roanoke River region. Located on the Cashie River in Windsor, NC, it has a primary exhibits building, exhibit outbuildings on the grounds, and a boardwalk/boat ramp along the river available to the public at no charge. The RCRC opened in September of 2000.
Indoor and outdoor attractions include:
